airport disruption: Lublin and Rzeszów-Jasionka airports (2026-09-28)

/ date of the event

What happened

On 28 September 2026, Lublin and Rzeszów-Jasionka airports temporarily suspended civilian operations to give military aviation freedom to operate during a Russian attack on Ukraine. Traffic subsequently resumed. Radio Lublin/IAR confirms both stages but does not establish exact closure times or the number of cancelled flights. These were preventive restrictions within the same defensive operation as the evacuation of Dorohusk and Zosin crossings. No Polish airspace violation or strike on the airports was confirmed. One entry covers both airports; without verified coordinates it has no map point.
