What happened
At about 16:50 on 24 September 2026, border police found drone debris near Cotiujeni, about 1.7 km from the border. Police findings published on 25 September indicate an explosion after impact with trees, about 10 m above ground, and tree damage within a radius of about 25 m. A jet engine and parts bearing “ГЕРАНЬ 4” markings were recovered; examination was ongoing. The entry date records discovery, not an established crash date. No connection to the morning flights of 24 September or earlier incidents has been confirmed. This is not evidence of a fifth drone or a new evening incursion. The device count remains unknown. The exact discovery site has not been established, so the record has no map point.
