airspace incident: northern Moldova: Vasilcău, Larga, Volovița, Socola; crash near Cernița (2026-09-24)

What happened

On 24 September 2026, during Russian attacks on Ukraine, Moldova’s Defence Ministry described four morning airspace-incursion episodes: at 05:21 towards Vasilcău, 06:14-06:16 through Larga, 06:35 through Volovița and 06:58 towards Socola. The northern airspace sector was temporarily closed and reopened at 07:46. Near Cernița, police found a camera-equipped drone with Gerbera characteristics; they reported that it hit a tree and exploded. Model identification was preliminary. A separate explosion report in the Camenca area remains less well documented. One entry covers the morning series without establishing a shared route, an operator or a unique device count. A connection to debris found later near Cotiujeni has not been established. The point approximately represents only the Cernița area.
