airport disruption: Lublin and Rzeszów-Jasionka airports, morning restrictions (2026-10-16)

/ date of the event

What happened

On the morning of 16 October 2026, operations at Lublin were preventively suspended and traffic at Rzeszów-Jasionka restricted during a Russian attack on Ukraine and NATO aviation activity. Radio Lublin, quoting PANSA, reported in its 10:04 update that both airports had resumed operations. The update time is not the precise resumption time. The start, duration and number of affected flights are undetermined. One entry covers both airports. No Polish airspace violation, airport strike or sabotage is confirmed. RCB alerts alone do not create additional incidents. Exact coordinates are undetermined; the entry has no map point.
