What happened

At 20:45 on 30 September 2026, the day’s third unauthorised flight was detected. The object crossed from the direction of Șerșenți in Ukraine toward Slobozia-Rașcov, then headed toward Țipova and disappeared from monitoring near Brănești. The Centre airspace zone was temporarily closed and reopened at 21:07; this does not establish that the object left the country. A later Realitatea report, carrying a 22:30 police update, confirms a drone explosion near the Ivancea-Brănești road and temporary suspension of traffic in both directions. No casualties were reported. Identity between this drone and the object tracked at 20:45 has not been conclusively confirmed. This possible identity is not used to create another entry or a device count. Preliminary police examination: wing fragments marked “Gheran-4”, a turbojet engine and three craters. The main explosion site was about 10 metres from the road, with debris within about 120 metres. Police indicate a collision with a tree before the explosion; expert examination continues. Geran-family identification is preliminary; a fragment marking does not establish the final model or operator. No verified coordinates are available; the entry has no map point.
