On the morning of 24 September 2026, Romania’s Defence Ministry detected a target over Ukraine near northern Botoșani County; radar indicated that it then entered Romanian airspace. Two F-16s took off, and a RO-Alert was issued for Botoșani and Suceava at 06:26. In update no. 303, the ministry confirmed that the object remained in Romanian airspace for about four minutes and crashed near Solca. Responders found a small drone. There were no casualties, material damage or fire at the crash site. The model, operator and exact route remain undetermined. The alert time is not an established entry time.
