airspace incident: Căplani, Olănești and Chistovodne, Ștefan Vodă District (2026-09-18)
/ period
What happened
On the night of 18/19 September 2026, Moldovan border police recorded drones in Ștefan Vodă District. Around midnight, two objects entered towards Olănești and Chistovodne; another flight over Căplani from the direction of Crocmaz was also described. This entry groups the overnight observations without establishing the number of distinct aircraft or their operators. A later report of an object crashing near Troița on the Ukrainian side of the border does not establish that it was one of those same drones. The point represents the Căplani area.
