What happened
The Romanian Ministry of Defence reported that a drone had crashed in a maize field near Botoșanița Mare in Suceava County. The aircraft had earlier violated Moldovan airspace - it was detected between Vasilcău and Băxani and then near Cuconeștii Noi - before flying into north-eastern Romania. Two Romanian F-16s were scrambled from the 86th Air Base at Borcea and an RO-Alert warning was issued for Botoșani County; no casualties were reported.
