What happened
On 11 September 2026 at about 16:00 a merchant vessel reported two drone fragments floating in the Black Sea about 46 nautical miles east of Midia, outside territorial waters in Romania's exclusive economic zone. A Coast Guard patrol vessel recovered both; they posed no pyrotechnic hazard. The position is given only as a distance from the shore, so the point on the map is indicative. MApN gave neither the type nor the origin of the aircraft.
