What happened

On Wednesday 9 September 2026 at about 20:00 drone debris was reported on Corbu beach in the Capu Midia area; because of darkness the site was cordoned off and the intervention postponed until morning. On Thursday 10 September at about 09:30 a Navy EOD team checked the fragments, established that they carried no explosive charge and neutralised them on site. One piece was about a metre long with visible wiring, the other, apparently a wing, lay a hundred metres away; specialists are to examine the debris. MApN gave no origin.

Source discrepancy

Malcontent and Kyiv Post date the find 10 September (the day of neutralisation); MApN gives the report on Wednesday 9 September at about 20:00. The day of the report, 9 September, was adopted.

Malcontent labels placemark [526] as ISR-drone debris "near a military base"; MApN speaks of Corbu / Capu Midia beach and gives no type. MApN was adopted.
