What happened
Early in the morning, on Moldova's national holiday marking the 35th anniversary of independence, five Russian drones entered Moldovan airspace. One crashed near Chișinău, where a local resident found it and alerted the authorities. The incident came during an announced visit to the capital by Presidents Nicușor Dan and Volodymyr Zelensky; President Maia Sandu condemned the violation.
