What happened
At 02:23 Moldovan surveillance systems detected a group of drones close to the Ukrainian-Romanian border; two Spanish F/A-18s and a Romanian IAR-330 were scrambled, and at 03:20 the public was alerted. A minute later a drone violated Romanian airspace about 13 km east of Galați, and at 03:24 the helicopter crew reported it had crashed 4 km northeast of Grindu, where a fire broke out and went out by itself. The alert was lifted at 03:52 and the debris was secured by the border guard.
