What happened
Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said that two Polish fighter jets had intercepted a Russian Il-20M reconnaissance aircraft 56 km north-west of Koszalin before noon. A similar incident had occurred the previous day, when Polish aircraft intercepted an Il-20 60 km north-west of Łeba; the aircraft was flying in international airspace without a flight plan and with its transponder switched off.
