What happened
A Romanian F-16 shot down a third drone: the target was destroyed at 10:13 over Romanian territorial waters, 12 km northeast of Sulina, five minutes after it entered the airspace. After a third violation in three days the foreign minister Oana Țoiu summoned the Russian ambassador and lodged a firm protest, Romania's ambassador in Moscow was recalled, and on 27 July a member of the Russian embassy staff was declared persona non grata.
