What happened
Lithuanian border guards at the Purvėnai post shot down a home-made drone that had come from Belarus, after an alert from the Lithuanian Air Force. The drone, probably belonging to smugglers, was neutralised as it approached the post at Eišiškės; it came down near the village of Dumblė. Since the start of 2026, 18 drones carrying smuggled goods had been brought down, against 59 in 2025.
