What happened
On 29 April 2026 residents of Băneștii Noi village, Telenești district, alerted police to a drone-like object lying in a field. The General Police Inspectorate said all parts of the aircraft were collected, that they posed no danger and that they would go for expert examination to establish their structure and origin. The same day the defence ministry stated that the aircraft matches the trajectory and characteristics of the target tracked on 30 March 2026: detected at 21.29 after crossing the border from the direction of the Odesa region and lost from radar at 22.03 over Orhei district. The day of the find is what is recorded. The sources give neither the drone's type nor its operator; no casualties were reported.
