airspace incident: Copenhagen Airport and other Danish airports; also Norwegian airports (2025-09-22)

/ date of the event

What happened

Between 22 and 28 September unidentified drones, suspected to be Russian, violated Danish airspace near Copenhagen Airport, with further sightings near other Danish airports in the following days. Norway also reported drone sightings over its airports during the same period, causing airport closures and flight disruption.

The word "Russian" in this description comes from the source's account of where the object was made or what type it is. It is not a finding about who sent it or on whose orders. This record carries no assessment of responsibility: see the attribution band below.
