What happened
On the morning of 12 September residents called 112 about an object floating in the water off North Beach in Burgas; police received the report at about 09:30 and cordoned off the area. A team from Burgas Naval Base found it to be an aeroplane-type unmanned aircraft without explosive material and posing no danger, and with the authorisation of the Navy chief of staff took it to the base. The defence ministry statement gives neither the type nor the origin of the aircraft; local media wrote that there was no official information on its origin. The flight date and the operator have not been established.
